Story or Bio
We adopted our black lab mix Lola from the RISPCA on Dec.1, 2012. 11 months old, scarred, and just out of a 10 day quarantine; she had been in a fight with two dogs. Curled up in a corner, with no interest in the world. Her record: doesn’t like children and dogs, and will chew on everything.
We took her in, gave her love, an acre to play, hunt, and do her thing. Three pairs of shoes and six months later, we boarded her at the RISPCA for a week. The team couldn’t believe this was Lola, who’d turned into the sweetest, full of life and obedient pup.
Sometimes she thinks she’s a cat, and brings me “presents”, typically a mole or chipmunk. She loves jumping into any body of shallow water, but hates swimming. She is with me like my shadow (when she’s not hunting). She is docile, loves attention from other humans - specially females, but is also protective when my husband is not around. The three of us, are a tight little pack.
