Known only as CGK-CMV for the first six years of her life, Josie was rescued from the Envigo breeding facility in Cumberland, Virginia in May of 2022. She arrived in RI in June with 6 of her puppies and 33 other beagles that would find loving homes through the RISPCA that year. Despite her past, Josie is the sweetest, most loving girl. I chose this picture because it was probably the happiest I've seen her. She just finished taking a dirt bath in the yard. Happy, dirty and smiling...living a life of love that she was deprived of for so long. 4,000 beagles got out of Envigo last year and I hope they are all living the life that they deserve. Josie says a vote for her is a vote for all the E-beags and a big (you know what) to Envigo!
