Entering A Photo:
- Entry fee is $5 to submit your favorite photo of your dog(s)!
You may enter one photo with no more than two dogs eligible for the grand prize or multiple entries of different dogs, each receiving their own votes. ($5 entry donation per photo submitted).
- For each entry please include:
- Your Pups name
- Your name & email
- A short bio about your dog(s) be sure to include any fun facts, tricks or quirks that might increase their votes!
- Due to the nature of our event, this is a “Dogs Only” photo contest! (Don’t worry we have a more inclusive contest in the works!)
- The submission period begins on July 6, 2020, at 9 a.m. ET, and end July 17, 2020, at 9 p.m. ET.
- Voting period begins July 6, 2020 at 9 a.m. ET and ends July 20, 2020 at 3 p.m. ET
- Your dog(s) do NOT have to be adopted from the Rhode Island SPCA to be eligible to enter the contest.
- Entries must live within the Rhode Island/South Eastern Massachusetts area to qualify for the Grand Prize. Entries outside of this area can qualify for runner up.
- All dogs must be human-friendly to qualify for the Grand Prize.
- All entries must be made electronically through the contest website, we are unable to accept mailed or physical entries.
- All photo entries must be taken by owner, as you must own the copyrights to your entered photography. Heavily filtered photos, including those with stickers or doodles are not recommended to be used as entries. Authorization from photographer must be provided for any entries of copyrighted or professional photos.
- Once entered, all photos become the property of the Rhode Island SPCA and can be used for future marketing needs.
- The Rhode Island SPCA reserves the right to decline publication entry photographs for any reason. Should this happen, you will be notified, if an appropriate replacement cannot be obtained, your entry fee can be refunded if desired. Rhode Island SPCA has final approval on all photos submitted.
- Employees, Volunteers and Board Members of the Rhode Island SPCA are welcome to submit photographs and encouraged to fundraise.
Voting:
Each vote costs $1, and there is no limit to the number of votes one may cast for the duration of the contest. You must purchase a minimum of five votes at a time for a minimum charge of $5 due to credit card process rules. You may vote for your own photo. Online voting begins as soon as the photo is registered and ends July 20,2020 at 3 p.m. ET.
In addition to the online system, voting can be done by phone by calling 401-438-8150 ext 8. Votes made over the phone with a credit card are restricted to a $20 minimum.To make sure a vote is credited to the correct photo, voters must identify the pet and owner's name. At this time we are unable to accept mailed or in shelter votes.
