We adopted Luna, after she was discarded twice at shelters at under a year for being, “too active and not good with other dogs.” When we found her at six months old two years ago at a shelter, she was underfed, starving for affection and leaped for us, begging us to rescue her. After lots of hugs, miles on trails, reassurance and a loving, adopted Lab brother named Ruben, Luna posed here for a rare quiet moment, as regal, pretty, refined and proud as she deserves to be.
