A little about me...
Hi my name is Jake. My family adopted me five years ago from Rover's Retreat. Over the last five years I've lost and gained new friends. My family adopts senior dogs and cats. They tell me I have elbow dysplasia, so that's why I have a limp. My favorite thing in life is to bring a smile to everyone's face. I've been called the inappropriate greeter, but I just get a little excited. Whenever my friends come over, I scout the house looking for a shoe to bring them. I have had a rough few months with visits to the emergency hospital and specialists. I had started limping and didn't want to eat. My family knew something was really wrong when I wouldn't eat. They couldn't tell me why I was experiencing lameness, but think it might have been septic arthritis. A few months later I wasn't feeling well again with lameness and a high fever. I hated not being with my family, but I was a brave boy. I even got a certificate of bravery from my new friends at the vet. I am on the mend again, and went for a swim today in our pool. It feels so good to swim. My mom tells me it will help my joints, and I can fetch the ball in the pool. I am one lucky boy, but my family tells me they are the lucky ones.
