Pet's Story or Bio
Rylie came to us about 2 years ago. At 6 most old she had been living solely in the back yard in the elements. She had hollowed out stairs as a house, and no human contact, except whenever someone remembered to feed her. I took one look at her picture and that was it. She became mine, or I became hers, lol! With unconditional love, and nurturing environment she has grown into a smart and loveble pup.
In 2 years she has learned not to jump on people, walking on her leash, fetch and release the ball. She enjoys her crate which stays open unless we leave somewhere. She still likes to chew since she is puppy. Completely house trained, loves to cuddle and wake me with face kisses! She also loves playing hide and seek and will whisper for you.
More than any tricks she has learned, she has gained confidence and self control. I still remember sleeping with her that first week teaching/helping her learn to relax, that she was safe. Took about a month before I caught her sleeping on my bed, on her back, legs all open, not a care in the world. That she finally felt safe enough to sleep like that was priceless. Oh, and she is wonderful with kids, other dogs and horses! (And they said she was out of control, ha!)
