Pet's Story/Bio
This is Straymond the Sled Dog. His original name was Stray Man as he was found in the woods in Scott County, Tennessee. He reluctantly accepted food from workers for Habitat for Humanity, AmeriCorps. His name got changed from Stray Man to Straymond. He had mange and his ribs were showing when he showed up for his first dinner. Rather than leave him in Tennessee, a kind woman from California paid his way for the 2,000 mile journey to California. Straymond has lived here for almost seven years. He prefers the Sierra snow over the semi-arid and hot Central Valley. Straymond is a “Beta” dog. Very social, lovable and cute with his curled tail. His main vice is chasing the house cat (who seems to let him).
