Pet's Story/Bio
We adopted Woodie (former name was Jack) from Sacramento SPCA back in autumn of 2006. His former guardians had recommended that he be put down because he was "destructive." Turns out he was bored out of his doggie mind and was trying to occupy himself for lack of proper attention! We love to play with Woodie. He is especially fond of car rides! He had a bad case of kennel cough when we adopted him, so we used to let him sit in the bathroom around shower time for exposure to the warm steam. To this day, when he hears the shower running, he still runs in to enjoy the steam even though the kennel cough is long gone. We have trained Woodie to play dead, roll over, speak and to say "please" (bark quietly for a treat). He is the BEST and smartest doggie dog we have ever known.
