Grover was a rescue that came to us at 4 months old. Three now, he is as cute as a button. We assumed he was a Daschund-Bassett hound mix, but a DNA test revealed he is mostly Daschund and beagle, with some rat terrier and Bichon Frise in the mix. Grover is a superb lap dog, (My first, as I had retrievers in the past.) He is a very picky eater and turns up that long nose at many things, even dog treats -- unlike any retriever I've ever had. He enjoys barking at cats as they saunter past our windows, and he is the first howling dog I've had , especially when he hears our car in the driveway. His best buddy is a Patterdale terrier just his size, named Bobb. Grover's silliness makes us smile every day. He's like the Peanuts' Snoopy character with the black-and-white colors reversed.
