Sophia was adopted 5 years ago in the United States after a defined list of criteria was made to a local humane society. When she was brought home she suffered from hernias, fractured trachea and lower body injuries. It was discovered that Sophia had been kicked repeatedly by her previous owner before being rescued. Nine months of 24 hour a day care Sophia and her owner found a bond that can never be replaced. Once Sophia's health was better she was trained & certified as a 'Service Animal'; with the ability to predict seizures, heart arrhythmia and a host of onset ailments.... Today however she romps the beaches of Ambergris Caye and like all good watch dogs, she carries on quite loudly at the site of anything that enters the vicinity of her veranda.
