SARL'S 10th Annual Pet Calendar Photo Contest!
Welcome to SARL'S 10th Annual Pet Calendar contest! Each year our pet calendar contest and calendar raises funds for our shelter services and community medicine programs.
Once again, we are offering the opportunity for ALL animal lovers to show off their pet in our pet calendar contest!
To participate in the contest, just register for an account and upload your pet's picture along with a $20 donation. Include something special about your pet, a favorite memory or description of your pet, or enter a pet who has passed over the rainbow bridge. Encourage your friends and family to vote! Every $1 qualifies for 1 vote. You can vote as many times and as often as you would like! After submitting your pet's photo, make sure to share it on social media and encourage people to vote.
We know that we often want to honor our pets on those special days throughout the year; days like birthdays or the day you brought your pet home. For a $15 donation you can have a date blocked on the calendar with a photo of your pet. This is the perfect chance to celebrate your pet or honor a pet's memory.

PRIZESThe top 12 photos with the most votes will win a coveted spot in our calendar, one for each month. First Place:
First place winner gets the cover photo and a month of their choice and will receive a professional photo session.
Your pet must be available during the month of August for a professional photo session to be arranged with our photographer. We will schedule an appointment to have your pet photographed at a set location.
2nd - 12th Place:
Places 2-12 get the remaining months in the calendar. Places 2 and 3 may choose their month. All Other Entries
Places 13-24 will be featured on the back page of the calendar.

- Your pet does NOT have to be adopted from Salem Animal Rescue League to be eligible to enter the contest.
- All animals are eligible to enter the contest.
- The cost to enter the contest is $20.00 and your entry will start with 20 votes.
- No humans in the photo.
- Photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi or greater) and be in landscape (horizontal) format to be considered for a month spread in the calendar.
- Due to possible copyright infringement, please do not submit professional photos including previous contest photos.
- The photos must show the animal in a humane and dignified manner. We have the right to remove a photo at our discretion if we do not feel the photo is appropriate.
- The pet who receives the most votes at the end of the contest will be on the cover of the calendar.
- The winning pet will be photographed by a professional photographer.
- The winning pet must be available during the month of August for a professional photo session to be arranged with our photographer. We will schedule an appointment to have your pet photographed at a set location.
- If the winning pet is deceased, the photo submitted must be high resolution (300 dpi or greater) and be in landscape (horizontal) format to be on the cover.
- You give permission for SARL to use the professional photo in our calendar and for the calendars to be sold.
- Donation and entry fees are non-refundable. All online photo entries must be submitted by July 31.
- All photos submitted become the property of Salem Animal Rescue League.
Salem Animal Rescue League believes in providing a safe haven, compassionate care, and new permanent homes for all. Our History
The Salem Animal Rescue League (SARL) was formed in 1992 with the goal of rescuing 50 stray and unwanted animals in the Salem, NH area. During that year, SARL rescued a total of 157 animals, affirming the need for an alternative to traditional municipal animal control. SARL's history is one of community interaction with police, town government and the people of the community. Today, the Salem Animal Rescue League rescues and adopts close to 600 dogs and cats per year.

The Salem Animal Rescue League (SARL) saves the lives of abandoned, neglected and injured animals by providing a safe haven, compassionate care and new permanent homes for them. SARL educates and promotes awareness about humane care and treatment of animals and is committed to reducing overpopulation primarily through its 100% spay/neuter policy to improve the quality of life of the animals and public we serve.
