Ziva D was found abandoned with a mama dog and her 5 newborn puppies.
Thankfully SAPA took the mama and pups. We fell in love with Ziva while having her checked out at the vet. She was matted, full of parasites, dirty and malnourished. She was treated for parasites, completely shaved of the 2 pounds of matted fur and thankfully tested negative for heart worm. We visited her daily while she was being treated and fell in love. She is the love of our lives. She immediately bonded with our then, 12 week old Dachshund puppy Taffy. Ziva is now a beautiful, well behaved and loving little lady. We realized after she was shaved she was a malnourished young puppy. She weighed 7 pounds after the matted fur was removed. She is now a 17 pound loyal companion, full of love and fun. Our two neutered male cats love and nurture her just like her mother would have done.
