Meet Bonnie “Blue Eyes”. If you are a follower of San Antonio Pets Alive, you may have heard of this sweet girl. SAPA Alumni Bonnie was a stray, dumped at the shelter, covered in scarring around her muzzle and wounds showing her mouth was bound shut for quite some time. Severely emaciated, Bonnie weighed just 6 lbs at 6 months old! One look at Bonnie and we knew we had to save her life. This sweet girl had a long road to recovery including a blood transfusion and long hospital stays.

Now Bonnie lives just outside Nashville, TN and enjoys hiking, and running the hills with her furry siblings. Though her scars will never fade, one look at Bonnie now and you see such a happy dog!

Bonnie has changed our lives so much and has taught us to take pride in little thing in our lives.
