Your Pet's Story or Bio
HoneyBear (Shelter name: Lily) was picked up by a passerby after being hit by a car in Watsonville in December 2018 and brought to the shelter badly injured and emaciated. She was not chipped and was sitting at the shelter for almost 2 weeks without being claimed. She was in need of vet care which the shelter attended to as much as possible but she possibly had a broken hip and needed a rescue to jump in. I volunteer at Norsled along side my partner and we were given the green light to pull her and foster her. She received immediate medical care and to our surprise had minimal damage including 3 small fractures and a luxation to her left hip. March of 2019, I officially adopted HoneyBear through Norsled. It’s been 7 months since her injury and the beginning of her new life. Absolutely the sweetest girl! Couldn’t image life without her.
