Maxi

A little about me...
We adopted Maxi from The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter when he was about 1. He was shy and quiet (not a single bark) for the first 6 months. Then one day a delivery person came to a different door and he found his bark! We didn’t even think he had one.
Maxi is the most good-natured dog we have ever had! On walks, whenever we encounter anyone walking in our general vicinity, he gets excited - ears immediately slicked back, tail and whole backside wiggling vigorously, “smiling” through his excited panting - and pulls towards them to say hi and get pets. Part of the process often involves sitting on the person’s foot so that he can lean in for maximum snuggles. He has put a smile on the face of countless strangers on the street.
One of his favorite activities is his post-dinner playtime: we put kibbles in old ripped stuffy toys, place the old stuffing back inside, and he has a treasure hunt!
He has a dog-walker once a week on our busy work day, and everyone on the dog-walking team wants their turn with Maxi. He brings joy to so many lives. ❤️
