A little about me...
Zoomie and her two sisters were found starving and abandoned as young puppies. The shelter rescued them and put them in a good foster home.
After seeing their photos and story I asked to see them. They were brought to the shelter where my friend Ann and I met them in an outside enclosure. Upon being set down they immediately ran to hide and cower under a bench which just broke my heart. We spoke softly to them and slowly, tentatively , like little munchkins, they ventured out to us!
The one who came to me had been described as “having the zoomie’s.”
She absolutely melted my heart and, with an enthusiastic thumbs up from Ann, I adopted that little brindle sweetheart of a pup!
We drove straight to Pet Pals taking little Zoomie on a shopping spree!
Sitting in the shopping cart she grinned from ear to ear the whole time as it was loaded with everything a puppy would need.
And Zoomie has certainly lived up to her name. I work with horses and she’s at the ranch with me everyday where she can zoom to her heart’s content.
As far as shopping, she loves it. Every first Friday while out and about, we visit Bookshop SC. She picks out a stuffed toy from the children’s section and carries it up to the register while obviously enjoying everyone watching her.
She loves the beach… perfect zoom opportunity and going in the water is a great way to get clean after a day with the horses!
So happy she came into my life.
And I’m so grateful for the shelter and all they do to help animals like Zoomie find forever loving homes.
