How much is the entry fee?
The entry fee is $25 per photo. This fee also includes one copy of the full-color calendar that will be mailed to you in June. You can make an additional donation during the entry process that will count as votes to give your pet a head start. All proceeds from contest entries will help us provide shelter and care for the homeless animals at the SOSARL.
How many photos can I enter?
You can enter as many as you want, BUT each photo should represent a different pet. Each entry is $25 and includes one delivered copy of the
2022 Rescued Love - Tails of Happiness calendar.How do I vote for a pet's picture?
Votes are $1 each, with a minimum donation of $5 for five votes. Yes, you can vote for your own pet's photo (and as many times as you and your friends and family want!).
How is the winner selected?
Votes will be tallied electronically at the close of the contest. The title of Top Pet will be awarded to the pet who gets the most votes, and the status of "Runner-Up" will be awarded to the pets who received the next 11 highest number of votes.
If my pet is selected, can I pick the month?
You may make a request, however, Save One Soul reserves the right to make the final assignments.
If I win, what do we get?
If you are one of the lucky 12 winners (1 Top Pet and 11 Runner-Ups), your pet will be professionally photographed by
Meaghan Susi Photography! One photo from that session will be used in the
2022 Rescued Love - Tails of Happiness calendar for the cover (Top Pet) and each month (11 Runner-Ups).
As a requirement, all winners MUST be available to complete the photo session in RI. Portrait sessions will be scheduled after the contest closes, as schedules and COVID protocols allow. Winners will get access to one complimentary digital image from the session and a pet's entire digital gallery from the session can be accessed for a donation of $50 to SOSARL.
Can I enter the contest via mail?
No, all transactions must be competed electronically through this site.
When will I get my calendar?
Calendars will be printed and mailed within 6-8 weeks after the last portrait session is completed. A limited number of calendar copies will also be available for sale at SOS reTAIL at 577 Kingstown Road, Wakefield, RI 02879.
