Pet's Story or Bio
In her early years, Emma was the dear companion to Joan Heckaman who died, June of 2013, with late term, Alzheimer's disease. Emma was always at Joan's side as Joan progressed from early onset to late term over a period of approximately five years and was a great source of comfort, humor, and, yes, exasperation to her. Since, Emma has been relocated to coastal North Carolina from the Northeast without any loss of comfort, humor, and exasperation.
