Pet's Quirks
She squeals with happiness when we return home! Loves to hunt and catch lizzies (lizards)

Pet's Story
Coco was dropped off at the shelter only a week before Christmas 2019! Around this same time we lost our previous chihuahua of 10 years to heart disease. We stopped by the San Diego shelter on a fluke a few days after Christmas, and little did we know we would be leaving with a precious angel! Coco was sandwiched in between cages of big loud barking dogs, just sitting there terrified and shaking nervously. We were told she was dropped off due to “barking problems”. (Yep, she’s a barker lol.) But we took a chance on this beautiful girl, and the minute we opened our hearts, she stopped shaking and her tail began to wag! It took several months for her to calm down and begin to feel secure. She still barks a bit, but she she is the most precious, loving, loyal, happy dog we have ever seen! We know very little about her life prior to us, and we always wonder how many people owned her, and who could have possibly dropped her off and left her behind. We joke around that the reason her ears are so big is because they’re full of secrets! Ha ha.
