Pet's Story
Angel's a true angel with quite a story. I lost my 14 yr. old darling red-headed Chow, Jan. 7, 2021. I wasn't looking yet but Angel appeared online at CV Animal Center. With just a head shot I knew he was my dog! I called and learned he was already adopted and leaving shortly, Jan.13. He had arrived on NY's night accompanied by the CVPD, no chip or collar, so was neutered and chipped at that shelter. Three weeks later he was on the run again and brought into SDHS on Jan 5. Now I was actively looking at SDHS daily, but by the time I got a phone consult each time pouch of interest was gone! Finally on Feb.10 I had a call scheduled but no dog of interest. Then at two minutes before, Angel pops up! I had the same reaction, there's my dog! The counselor put Angel on hold while we discussed what was known about him, all good. A couple of hours later we headed home together! Several hours later I realized it was the first dog I wanted! Angel has never run and we're very happy! (So hard to believe the previous adopters relinquished him.)
