Pet's Story
Almost 9 years ago Lil Buddy showed up on our property broken, weary and filthy. When our eyes met I felt an immediate love connection. There were many considerations regarding keeping this dog and for a 1 week interim he went to the county shelter. During this time he was not claimed, given medical care and prepared for adoption. The whole time he was there I was pining for him and we decided to adopt him. When he arrived back to his forever home I began to learn he was major project with multiple behavioral issues, timid and insecure. His state of health was still very poor and truly I didn't think he would live long. At the animal control medical center they estimated he was 8-10 years old. With persistence, , loving devotion, ultra nutrition and training he gradually transformed to the healthy, happy, self assured, secure dog he is today. In 2018 he went into training to be a therapy dog and proceeded to work at the Library in the children's reading program. At his annual veterinary exam the big question is always "How old is he?" Every year they say he's younger. One of his nicknames is Benjamin Bud.
