Ashie loves books, especially his book, "Poetry for Cats". He also likes me to hand feed him and licks his breakfast pate off my fingers

Pet's Story
Ashie was abandoned at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic when his family moved away and left him behind. He survived on his own for 2 1/2 years, getting handouts from a few people where he lived and hiding in the nearby canyon and neighborhood sheds. With help, I rescued him at the end of April and brought him to the SDHS on a finders hold for care and to see if his family could be found. The SDHS team neutered him, removed a collar left on him by his old family, and shaved his badly matted and foxtail-infested fur. After 10 days, I got the call that he was ready for adoption, and on Mother's Day weekend I brought him home. He was the best gift ever. Ashie is a fuzzy cuddle baby and I adore him.
