Pet's Story
We rescued Lennie back in 2015. He was an adult dog discounted because he had been in the shelter for so long. Given the white streak of fur on his head he looked almost bald on top. When we adopted him the staff at the shelter was so happy, they told us that he was a favorite with staff because he was so sweet. Rescued as a stray, we kept the name he had been given by the shelter staff. The first night he was so excited to have a yard that he ran around the yard and promptly feel in the pool. He was whining that evening when it was time to go to bed, confused no doubt, that in order to get him to go to sleep, I pulled him up on the couch next to me where he slept soundly cuddled up with me all night. Every night since, he has insisted on sleeping right in between me and my husband -- no matter how much my husband tried to get him to sleep on his dog bed.
