Pet's Story
Lilah’s mother was a hurricane Katrina rescue. Pulled from the floods and brought to safety by animal rescuers to San Diego. Unfortunately, Lilah’s mom and littermates died of the parvo virus and only Lilah survived. Luckily, at just 2 months old, Lilah was adopted from the San Diego Humane Society.

Over the years, Lilah grew to be a loyal and devoted companion to her adoptive family. She’s a a mix of German Shepherd and Chow, with black and brown markings and a quiet demeanor. She is very observant and could be slow to trust new people, but those who took the time to earn her affection were rewarded with her unwavering love.

Despite her advancing age, Lilah remains a bit slower but still active. She loves to follow her humans wherever they go, always staying close and never straying far from their side. In fact, her routine that she follows every day, almost like clockwork: Breakfast served promptly at 7AM, followed by a walk at 10AM, and then she would settle in for a midday nap. After her afternoon meal at 4:30PM, Lilah is always ready to go on another walk at 5:30PM before settling in for the evening.

Lilah is a well-behaved dog who never needed much discipline. She knew what was expected of her and always eager to please her humans. We love her deeply and couldn't imagine life without her. And even though she is now 16 years and 4 months old, Lilah is still an integral part of our daily
