Penny loves to climb rocks, logs, even steps. She loves dandelions and blueberries. Very adventurous!

Pet's Story
Penny is a 70+ year old Sonoran Desert Tortoise. She was adopted from the Arizona Game and Fish in 2017. Part of her shell was damaged by something in the wild. Luckily someone found her and brought her in to the rescue center. She weighs about 15 lbs. She has excellent vision, amazing energy and has super strong legs. Penny has a big personality! She is very social and smart - loves people (likes to be petted) and isn't afraid of dogs or other animals. She loves to bask in the sun, take walks and climb over all kinds of obstacles. Sometimes gets herself in a pickle and needs a little help getting out of it. She's an awesome pet!
