Pet's Story
At the time Malachai was brought to the Humane Society, he was over 10 years old. He waited patiently for his perfect second-home for close to 1 year before he was adopted. His new mom found his posting in early 2024 & had her fiancé (now husband) promise if Malachai was still available by the time they had their own place/backyard they could adopt him. Flash forward to 8 months later & a few days after they could start using the lawn they added to their very own backyard, they saw his same smiling face on the Humane Society website & brought him home the very next day. He now enjoys his morning walk around the local park (still able to walk a mile plus with his tail wagging the entire time), lounging with his little sister (5 year old German Shepherd/Husky mix rescue) & being near (or on top of) his humans at all times.

Malachai is a large, senior dog who deserved the second chance the Humane Society gave him & he couldn't be more happy.
