Pet's Story
Fred's owner was having a mental health crisis and abandoned him and his brother Rex at a Barnes and Noble. My wife rescued them and I took them in. Their owner recovered and demanded them back. Eventually, I gave them back, but offered my support. Any time and any place. Their owner took me up on it . I took them back when she needed a break or medical treatment. She had a very rough life, but loved her dogs so much. Eventually,she was physically unable to care for them. We took them in. Rex passed away in about a year and we kept Fred until he passed. Their former owner passed in 2018. I was one of her pallbearers. Fred passed 2 weeks ago at the age of 16 years. Fred, Rex and their former owner are missed.
