Billi is a joyful trooper, despite major medical problems: diabetes, pancreatitis, and trachea collapse. She also had blinding cataracts.

Pet's Story
Billi and I met at a TJ Maxx (a clothing store) early one morning. The store was nearly dark, and I appeared to be the only shopper. Suddenly, I heard a Pssst! I looked around. A woman was pushing a shopping cart with a big black purse in it. She waved me over, pointed at the purse, and signaled me to look. There was Billi. She was about 6 weeks old. She was looking up at me with pleading eyes, "help me," she seemed to say. I was zapped, the thunderbolt of love struck me right in the heart. She and I have lived happily together for over 14 years now. We have survived her medical problems and had her eyesight restored (blinding cataracts removed). Our connection was a blessing for both of us. How lucky we are! And I get a kick out of telling people I got my dog at TJ Maxx.
