Pet's Story
Taches (French for “spots”) was rescued at just 5–6 weeks old after being separated from her family and found in the mouth of a dog, suffering a bite injury and needing urgent care. At the Escondido Humane Society, she underwent surgery, received lifesaving care, and was bottle-fed for weeks while she recovered.

I saw her photo and knew she was meant to be mine. I drove hours in traffic before closing time and nearly missed my chance to adopt her—but I made it, and left that day as the final step in her rescue—committed for life.

She grew up with the care of the San Diego Humane Society and is now a deeply loved companion with an incredible story of survival. Yet she's still all cat; always watching. always thinking.
