Pet's Story
We picked her up from the West Valley Shelter in Los Angeles when she was seven months old and weighed 47 pounds. The shelter said she won’t grow much bigger, but she doubled in weight. We found out later she was a Catahoula leopard dog, we found out why the previous owners gave up on her. She was a “herding handful” in those early years. She almost went back to the shelter a couple of times, but we endured her demeanor. She turned out to be the greatest dog ever. She was diagnosed with cancer at about nine years old, we did everything in our power to help her. We got her on a program to test out the cancer vaccine. She went thru a total of five surgeries, 4 radiation treatments, Gilvetmab monoclonal antibodies and Oncept cancer vaccine . She never complained once. Some people say she’s the most photographed dog in the world, but I like to boast.
