Pet's Story
I adopted Louie in March 2020 from a sanctuary called Free Flight in Del Mar, CA after slowly earning her trust and affection over the course of a year. We first bonded over a shared love of sticky notes, and grew even closer when she came home. She became my constant companion through the trials of being an elementary school music teacher during the pandemic online education era, and remains my best friend to this day!

A good day in Louie’s world consists of eating, preening, scritches, and multiple naps! When she’s feeling energetic, she’ll waddle across the kitchen (she thinks she’s a duck!) towards the sink to let me know she’s ready for a “bath”. (Her version of a bath is sitting in a shallow pool of water in a Tupperware bowl, not actually bathing).
