Pet's Story or BioPiper the Himalayan was adopted at 10 years old from Seattle Humane in January of 2018. She had been found as a starving stray with a mouth full of rotten teeth, a tumor on her forehead, multiple infections and no front claws. A few months after I adopted her it was found that she had an eye that needed to be removed.
She gets along fine with just one eye and one tooth and has become a happy, healthy kitty. She absolutely adores my other cats and talks and purrs at them often. She always greets me with her adorable raspy meow and slow blinking that one big eye at me. Piper has multiple sets of stairs to help her get up into all the cat perches for snoozing and watching birds and squirrels.
Please give a hard-luck senior cat like this a chance the next time you are thinking about adopting.
