Cats
Pet's Story or BioWe had lost a senior Siamese, Rani a year prior, and bought a house because our landlords wouldn’t let us have cats (despite a custom lease addendum and $3,000 pet deposit offer). So, after many disappointing trips with my husband not finding the right kitties for us, my husband left on a work trip. While he was away one day after work I got the undeniable urge that I had to go to Seattle Humane immediately. Up until this trip I had been joking that “when I open the door and the cat meows at me, I’ll know it’s the one” Of course, that is exactly what Isis did. And then kerplunk, kerchunk, kerplunk, I heard 17lb Titus hopped down from his perch on a cat shelf and flopped on my lap. I obviously had to adopt both, and then realized they were a bonded pair (and litter mates). Titus is now a healthy 15lbs but still likes to kerplunk, Isis is half his size and wisps around in the gossamer. They are also known as the Peanut and the Ham.
