Is there a minimum number of votes required per entry?
NO. Each vote costs $1, but there is no minimum requirement for number of votes cast per individual.
I've registered my pet! Now what?
Get the word out! Tell your friends and family to vote for your pet before end of business on October 9th. Be sure to share reminders along the way as it usually takes 4-5 reminders before people follow through and cast a vote.
If I win one of the prizes, can I select a different photo of my pet to be featured at Seattle Humane?
Yes! Seattle Humane must approve all selected photos, but you are welcome to submit an alternate photo should you win one of the photo prizes.
Are votes tax-deductible?
Seattle Humane is a 501 (c)(3) organization, Tax ID# 91-0282060. Each vote is a donation to Seattle Humane and is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Can I vote for my own pet?
Absolutely! You are welcome (and encouraged) to cast as many votes as you'd like for your own pet's photo.
What percentage of donations will support programs at Seattle Humane?
More than 82% of Seattle Humane’s funding comes from the generosity of individuals and local businesses. We keep administrative costs to a minimum so that 80 cents of every dollar is spent on the animals in our care. We promise to be good stewards of your gifts.
