Tito was surrendered to Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center (FKA Camden County Animal Shelter) in one of the worst cases of demodex mange I have ever seen, and I am our resident Mange Foster/also VP. The shelter reached out to our rescue/me as soon as he came in and off I went. Tito was a 1 year old pitbull mix and full of love. He loves dogs of all sizes, cats and people from infant to elderly. He was the best patient for his meds, his baths, he was crate trained and housebroken already, he was a perfect dog that someone let him get a skin infection and then let it get to 10k times worse then it should have. If he had just seen a vet early on, it could have gone away in days or weeks. Instead they let it go. Demodex mange feels to a dog like their outer layer is permanently on FIRE. It burns, it itches, it cracks, it bleeds, it HURTS. Tito healed in a very quick 6 weeks and was then adopted by a wonderful family with a 3 year old boy and FOUR, yep 4, kittie cats! He is doing so amazing. But nobody helped him. Nobody cared. We did. I did. And now look at him!
