Pet's Seen=Saved Story
Pupdate: Jolene has found her forever home! Turns out, she had been there all along as her foster mom took the plunge and decided that they were meant for each other. I wish Jolene and her mom Emily the absolute best!

Jolene has been in the City Dogs program (and is still currently available) since June 2018. Within the first couple of months of her living in the kennel, she began to show signs of medical issues. It turned out that she had chronic bladder stones and luxating patella issues that required multiple surgeries and rehab. Through it all, Jolene remained happy and loving, even when she wanted to do anything other than her water therapy. She has an amazing foster mom and the full support of the City Dogs volunteers in helping her be not only medically well but also happy and well-adjusted otherwise.

I first photographed Jolene when she first came to the kennel and have had the pleasure to photograph her several times since then. She's always been up for modeling for me (especially if I bring t-e-n-n-i-s b-a-l-l-s with me), but this last time I photographed her she was in full-on silly mode and let me dress her up in a multitude of outfits. This was one of my favorite pictures I took of her because it shows her feminine side, her masculine side, her silly side, and her loving side all in one image. I'm also forever hopeful that my images (this one included) help the shelter dogs I spend time with find their forever homes. Jolene hasn't found hers yet, but I know the right family is out there waiting for her.

I'm very thankful that City Dogs and Friends of the Cleveland Kennel saw the amazing dog that Jolene is and decided to invest the time and money into saving her. Now, it's time for her to flourish in her forever family.
