Pet's Seen=Saved Story
I first met Rosie at the East Valley shelter, where she was a skinny, stray 8 month-old puppy with eyes nearly crusted over from untreated entropion. I loved her immediately, and she fit into our lives with her limitless joy and friendly nature. She gets to share that joy with hundreds of people a year as a therapy dog. We had no idea, though, the deep bond she would form with my boyfriend, who is a veteran of the Iraq War with post-traumatic stress. I feel so fortunate I get to witness the love they have for each other, to watch them grow together. They are two peas in a pod. We are incredibly lucky to have Rosie in our lives, and thankful to the shelter that cared for her. The human-animal bond is nothing short of magical; everyone should have the chance to experience that magic.
