Athena spent an entire year living in a humane society cage. A year.
She was listed as a rescue release only so she was not available for general adoption. We don't know why she was on those restricted terms because she is the SWEETEST dog you will ever meet. Luckily one of the Waggin' Tails volunteers heard about her and couldn't let her spend another night confined. She met Athena and the rest was history. Athena never made it to the adoption roster, she was adopted by that volunteer and is now living the good life surrounded by loving family, daily walks, trips to the dog park, and lots of squeaky toys. If Athena had had good photos and more publicity could we have saved her from a year of confinement? How many other Athenas are out there waiting? That's why we love HeARTs Speak!!
