Pet's Story or Bio
Zevon is a Boston Terrier mix who we adopted in Arizona. Like most terriers, he is VERY smart and VERY stubborn. He gets extremely excited and shrieks when he spots moving animals, especially elk and cats, which leads us to believe that his other half is some kind of herding dog. Zevon loves to ride in the car, swim after sticks we throw in the Mad River, and go for “walkies.” He is very patient about getting dressed up for holidays and parties. With his big bat ears, Zevon has excellent hearing: he comes running downstairs every time he hears his owners open a cellophane wrapper! He likes to play with a rubber Frisbee (mostly teasing us in a game of Keep-away) and his indestructible rubber frog, Darwin. Every day, he changes locations throughout the house, in search of a sunny spot to lie. Zevon is named after Warren Zevon, who composed his human mom's favorite tune, "Werewolves of London." Friends remark that they would like to be reincarnated as Z, because his owners treat him so well. He certainly turns heads when he's out in public. Our little boy has helped us through this isolating pandemic, both by urging us to get out and walk with him and by being a warm, soft presence to pet and make us feel happier.
