Pet's Story or Bio
Sophie was a rescue dog from another country. (We believe Mexico or Puerto Rico)
She was adopted by a couple from the Bay Area. Sadly, her adoptive parents divorced after 8 years and Sophie was dropped off at a high kill shelter in Vacaville because neither of her owners wanted the sole responsibility of a dog.
Muttville, a rescue organization in San Francisco who specialize in finding homes for older dogs, rescued her from the shelter and offered her a second chance to find a good home.
My son fostered Sophie on weekends from Muttville and ended adopting her after falling in love with her. She has lived in San Francisco & Manhattan since then. She is now living temporarily in Eureka before returning to San Francisco.
Sophie has traveled via road trips twice across the United States.
She is an amazing 14 year dog who has survived 2 major cancer surgeries & numerous health scares.
Sophie is loved dearly and is a valued member of our family.
