My Pet's Story
Even though Pepper is not a rescue dog, I feel that we still saved her. We adopted her from a pet store at 1.5 lbs, expecting her to grow between 5-8 lbs but instead, we found out she was very sick. After a week of nebulizers, oxygen tents, etc., Pepper was starting to recover. Due to her past health and size, she will never be heavier than 2 lbs and since she was so tiny, we had to pull all of her teeth. However, after 3 years, she is a very healthy, happy Maltese/Chihuahua that smiles with her tongue constantly hanging out... we absolutely love her!!!!
