My Pet's Story
Our sweet Molly is 10 years old. We adopted her at the Sioux Falls Humane Society on Oct. 24, 2011. Molly was very shy and timid until we got her home, and then she became very vocal and playful. She loves to be held and cuddled. We learned from Molly that she loves to play fetch with her toy mice. Over the years she keeps losing these mice, so we are always buying more. Occasionally, we find the missing mice under beds, hidden among clothes, stuffed in shoes, or under rugs. Molly thinks she is burying them. Last fall we inherited an 8 week old kitten named Sophie. Molly's maternal instinct took over. She protected and stayed close to Sophie, while they slept, ate, and played. Molly loved to groom Sophie, and Sophie learned how to groom Molly in return. To this day, Sophie follows Molly everywhere.
