Tell us your story
I adopted Poppy almost exactly a year ago (Oct. 29, 2022) and she has enriched my life immeasurably. I have learned far more from her than she has from me, even though she is ridiculously smart and the fastest learner I've ever known. And she has come so far in our time together -- once trembling in fear at the prospect of a car ride or time in her crate, she now joyfully prances into both. She is an incredible light in this world, bringing daily joy and laughs to me, to her human and dog friends, and to any stranger on the street who will pay attention to her. I am eternally grateful to the SF SPCA for bringing us together, and for taking such good care of her before we met. She is an amazing girl, I am beyond fortunate to share all of life with her.
