Dog's Story or Bio
I followed Bolt’s story after he was hit by a car in Southern California. His guardian angel Gina Lambert started a go fund me page and reached out to Shadow Husky Rescue. Together with the enormous support of caring donators Bolt had surgery.
Being privileged to have been loved by 13 huskies over the years I fell in love with him and decided that he deserved to live his life in Husky Haven, aka Mammoth Lakes, CA. His rehabilitation was not easy since his back end is basically all metal and he needed to be carried up and down our 3 flights of stairs several times a day. But he was a good patient and tolerated his PT. It paid off!
8 months later, Bolt is living life to its fullest. He swims every day with his pack, Kenai and Pax and runs through the forest like the free spirit he is. He has many friends that he plays with on our walks around the lake and is known by their owners as Mammoth’s polar bear.
