I CAN'T ATTEND PROM. CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE?
YES!!! In fact, the Shibas insist you have fun!!! You do NOT have to attend actual Prom in order to enter & vote in the photo contest! Winners are announced during Prom, but just because you can't attend does NOT mean you can't participate. You can also reserve-a-calendar day!
VOTING:
- Each vote is $1.00!
- Voting starts 4/6/23 at 8am EST
- Voting ends: 5/6/23 at 10pm EST
- You may vote for your own pet, but in the spirit of rescue, please consider voting for another pet, too
- You may vote as many times as you want
- You may vote for as many pets - in as many categories - as you want
- Shiba Inu Rescues are encouraged to participate!
ENTERING INTO THE CONTEST:
- Each submission is FREE!
- Entering starts 4/6/23 at 8am EST
- Entering ends: 5/6/23 at 9pm EST
- You may enter your pet into as many categories as you want
- Photos can be of Shibas or “honorary' Shibas” (pets that wish to be a “Shiba for the Day” such as a cat, bird, ferret, lizard, turtle, etc.)
- Shiba Inu Rescues are encouraged to participate!
- There are 12 themed categories
- The winner of each category will receive bragging rights & a dedicated (featured) month in the 2024 Shiba Prom calendar
- In the event of a tie, both winners will receive a dedicated month
- Some categories are listed as “video preferred” due to the nature of the category
OFFICIAL RULES:By submitting an entry in this contest, regardless of country of entry, you represent & warrant that your photo(s) and/or video(s) conform to the following:
- You are not a Shiba Prom Board member
- You are at least 18 years of age
- Video submissions must include (1) photo submission along with the video
- Photos and videos must be:
- Of your own pet(s)
- Appropriate for the theme of the submission category
- Of one (1) pet unless the category is a group theme
- In the spirit of “Rescue” – we are here to celebrate Shiba Inus not bash other breeds or make fun of other contest submissions
- Photo and video submission may not:
- Show humans or other people’s pets
- Have previously won an award/prize of any kind during Shiba Prom
- Include content that is derogatory, offensive, threatening, defamatory, disparaging, libelous
- Promote hatred or harm against any group or person
- Contain any content that is inappropriate, indecent, sexual, profane, indecent, tortuous, slanderous, or discriminatory in any way
- Contain any content that is unlawful or otherwise in violation of any applicable federal, state, provincial, or local laws & regulations in any state where the photos were created
- Contain any content, material or element that displays any third-party advertising, slogan, logo, trademark or otherwise indicates a sponsorship or endorsement by a third party or commercial entity that is not within the spirit of this contest, as determined by Shiba Prom in its sole discretion (In other words, stickers & some text are fine. But watermarks & copyrighted material are not)
- Reference any person, group, or organizations without their written permission
- Violate a third party's intellectual property rights, including but not limited to copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, logos, contract & licensing rights, rights of publicity or privacy, moral rights, or any other intellectual property rights
- Be subject to any third-party agreement(s) which may require organizer to pay any sum of money to any person or entity as a result of its use or exploitation of the photos or rights therein
Shiba Prom volunteers & members of the Board are not eligible to win prizes from any fundraising event. Board members may vote but not submit a photo. Volunteers may vote & submit a photo, but will pass their winning title to the runner up in any category they win.
During the contest period, Shiba Prom will evaluate each entry to ensure that it does not violate these contest rules. Photographs & videos that violate these rules will be disqualified.
By submitting a photo and/or video, you agree to give Shiba Prom permission to use your photo and/or video in Shiba Prom-related promotions, marketing, social media postings & other activities that further our mission of supporting Shiba Inu rescues throughout the United States.
