Princess Butterscotch was living outdoors in a scary neighborhood with a big woods full of frightening things. Even worse, she had no defenses and we're not sure how she hunted because she was DECLAWED! She wandered into our yard a few times over the course of a year or so, and was always friendly, so we decided if she showed up again, we were going to bring her in. In November 2013, she became a part of our family. She is still dealing with some fears, but is learning about love and comfort and relaxing. This is my favorite picture, she is so peacefully sleeping, hugging her favorite toy, possibly the first thing she ever had that was her own...
