Pet's Story or Bio
This dog has completely changed our mind about Pit bulls. In the height of the time in our area, a child was mauled by his Grandmother's 2 pit bulls, I noticed Roxy hanging around my place of work. She had been out there for two days, and the temperatures were beginning to drop. We brought her in the office and warmed her up. Thankfully there were some left over chicken biscuits from a distributor that day, and she gobbled them up. After trying to find a microchip at the local vet, which was non existent, knowing not a thing about this dog, I took her home. Ads placed with no responses, we finally found a rescue, but they wanted a video....so we sent one. The rescue stated "She looks pregnant". I went white. After the ultrasound showing approximately 7 puppies, she stayed with us. Roxy had 11 puppies and was an incredible Momma. Those puppies were healthy, happy and a lot of work to say the least. We managed to find a rescue for the pups, but they said that Roxy would most likely be overlooked and it was mostly because of the over unpopular view on Pit bulls. My husband and I decided that we would keep her, change her street walker ways to be being a kept lady. With everything she has been through, we have all bonded like a real family and we can't imagine our life without her.
