Pet's Story or Bio
In December of 2014, a "pitbull" was seen running through our neighborhood for 3 weeks. Initially, people were scared of the dog and thought she belonged to someone in the neighborhood. She didn't belong to anyone in the neighborhood so I started leaving food and water for the dog while trying to find the owner.
One day I walked outside with my 13 lb dog and turned around to see a dog on the loveseat on the front porch. I grabbed my little one and ran in the house. The loveseat dog ran too. Poor thing had scars all over her body and seemed so cold.
Because it was December and very cold, I warmed up towels and blankets in my dryer for the dog. She loved to lay on the warm towels but didn't like it when I wrapped her up in the towels.
By Christmas Eve day, I had her sitting beside me and waiting for the warm towels and food every day. I called Animal Control to come get her but when they arrived, I changed my mind.
I found the whole rescue world and began to foster her while also taking her to private obedience lessons and then 3 months later, realized she was already home. We call her Daisy.
