Ginnie, my brother's joyful Lhasa Apso, joined our family NOV 2009 at a time when my heart was broken having put to sleep a month earlier my beloved 13-year-old Cocker Spaniel and after a year earlier losing our adopted 3-year-old Dachshund to diabetes. But tears were replaced by smiles, laughter, happy hearts, warm puppy breath, many "kisses", and funny antics. She's smart, learns words and hand signs fast, entertains with her many tricks including sitting-up that she taught herself, and with one big-eyes sad look can melt your resolve. She loves daily walks with her grandpa as well as lap time, adores the dog next-door and her doggie cousins all known by name, and squeals with delight seeing her "daddy-dog" when he's been gone too long. With many favorites to choose from, this precious Christmas photo with her new lamb doll warms my heart. Ginnie is joy to us all.
