Bitis parviocula

A little about me...
This species also known as Bale Mountain Adder, is found in only five localities in Ethiopia, all in the Bale Mountains, at altitudes of 1,700–2,800 meters (5,600–9,200 ft). They inhabit Coffee plantations and open grasslands in cleared areas, near streams. The species name Parviocula means "small eyed", something which does not seem to fit. This Adder has an unusual defensive strike compared to other species in the Genus, more of a sweeping strike using the entire length of their body. They prefer to be fully out stretched and facing way from the intended target when the strike is initiated.
